Lesson of John 14:2

“In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.”... John 14: 2

We have all traveled at on time or another. We traveled for different reasons; some of us travel for business and others on vacations. Even under the best of conditions, the journey is never easy. There are arrival and departure times we must pay closet attention to because if we don’t we will miss our transportation and our plans will be delayed. Upon arrival at the terminal, we have to check our bags, find the correct departure gate and go through security (if traveling by plane). The terminals are big and crowed. Even through there are a lot of people, there is still a sense of loneness and a feeling that no one cares. Everything is very impersonal and mechanical. This is caused by the same technology that is suppose to make our life easier by allowing us to check-in online, scan our ID’s and keep us update with the latest information. Food is always expensive and never has any taste. I gust it is the price we have to pay in order to live in an orderly mechanized world.
After having “paid the price” to get to the destination, I’m always happy to be able to take off my shoes and enjoy a home cooked meal. This is when I appreciate to warmth and love of the people who are the closest to me. Then, being able to go to sleep in a clean, comfortable bed is wonderful.
Heaven is like this. Jesus is preparing a place for us. He knows what to put in our room and He knows what we need in our room. Room is define as a “space inside a building enclosed or set apart by wall and doors” (that’s its Earthly meaning) but it is also define as a “chance or opportunity” by Webster’s American Dictionary. By dying on the Cross, Jesus gave up the opportunity to become children of God. It is our choice weather or not we want to follow His teaching.

The Lesson of John 10:16

“I have other sheep that are not of this pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd”… John 10: 16

The key to understanding this Bible versus are the works: flock, pen and shepherd. The shepherd is of cause Jesus Christ. For pen and flock we have to go to a dictionary to look it up. Flock is defined any group of people or animals that travel together. Pen is defined as a small yard with a fence for keeping any small animals enclosed.
As we get farther in living in Revelations, the populations of the World will get smaller and smaller. This will be due to the Horsemen of Revelations. There won’t be any big cities; only small towns. These towns are going to be like the medieval city states. They are going to be very self contain. Each is going to have its own character. Jesus is going to being all of them together. All the resources needed for daily live will be in walking distance from one another. Around the city will be some sort of fortification. This will be necessary to keep robbers out.
In its center, there will be a place of worship. Because, the people of the community will understand the importance of putting their trust in Jesus, people are beginning to hear His voice and understand what it is telling them. It is this voice that will guide the individuals. These individuals are in turn will build a new community.
These new community are all going to have one thing in common that is that they will follow the teaching of Jesus. Mankind will learn that in order to survive he must believe and trust in Jesus. Mankind is going to be helped by the Holy Spirit in this time of transition by reminding us of Christ’s teachings. The purpose of this is in John 1:12, “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”

Thank You, Lord (Part One)

For the past 3 years, I have been trying to achieve the Canter gate in ridding. But, every time I have tried to do it, I have all ways been stopped by fear and self doubts. All this negativity comes from the Devil. I was fine as long as I was doing the Trout but as soon as the instructor said, “O.k. lets do a little Cantering”. My seat started to fall apart and I held on to the reigns so tight that the house would not move. So, I finally decided to pray and meditate on Bible versus.
The Bible versus that I used are Psalms 143, John 14: 16-20, John 14:25-27 and John 15: 7-8. I find that the Bible is the most reveling to me when I pray and meditate at the same time. The easiest way to explain this is with an example. I’ll use John 14: 16-20. In John 14: 16-20, Jesus is telling his disciples that He is going to send the Holy Spirit to them.

“16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.”----- John 14: 16-20

As you are reading the first verse, ask yourself: Who is giving us the Counselor, how long will the Counselor stay and where is the Counselor coming from? Read the verses slowly because if you read them fast you’ll miss the message and the blessing. By reading it slowly and asking yourself these questions you’ll gain a better understanding of what is going on in the scripture. Next, ask yourself: What is the Counselor called?, what is the World’s reaction to him?, where does the Counselor live?, what is Jesus promise to anyone who is his disciple? And lastly, who lives in all of us? Now, try this method with Psalms 143, John 14:25-27 and John 15: 7-8.
Thank you Lord for helping me with my cantor, you and the Holy Spirit gave the confidence to do the cantor. You not only calmed my fears and kept me focus but made sure the horse stayed calm and lesson to the reigns. Since fear is caused by the Devil; thank you for keeping the Devil away from me. So I can learn and testify to your power and glory. Halleluiah!
